Welcome to the recipes section of the site. Over time we will add more and more recipes for things that you can eat with your coffee at home. The recipes will give you a chance to create the perfect coffeehouse experience in your own home!

 

Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.

 

The first recipe here is a recipe for Biscotti biscuits, which are fantastic dunked into your favourite coffee.

Traditional Biscotti

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC, grease and flour 2 baking trays
  2. Toast, husk and chop hazelnuts
  3. Mix first 7 ingredients in a food processor or by hand in a bowl
  4. Add butter and cut/rub into mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs
  5. Add the toasted hazelnuts and transfer to large bowl
  6. Combine the eggs with the Galliano in small bowl and add to the dry ingredients and mix until dough forms into a ball, gently knead to bind all the ingredients
  7. Divide into two and form each into a 5cm wide and 5cm deep log, transfer onto prepared sheets.
  8. Bake until golden brown and firm to touch; about 35 minutes
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes
  10. Using serrated knife, cut logs into 2cm thick slices
  11. Arrange slices back onto the baking trays and bake again for approx. 5 - 7 minutes per side until crisp
  12. Remove and cool on a rack
  13. Store in airtight container
  14. They may be dusted with icing sugar or cocoa just prior to serving, or if you have the time try streaking them with piped chocolate or half dipping them in melted chocolate.
